Teachers

The first place I want to start is with the teachers.  The teachers need to be taught, seriously.  When it comes to medical terminology they don't know squat. They can't pronounce squat. They can't explain squat. They can't remember squat. If your're a student who knows nothing about medical terminology, insurance, precedures, etc.(and why should you you're there to learn this right?) then you might be fooled into believing that your teacher knows what she's talking about.  They give you all the books you need when you first start, but, the teacher does not teach some things that you're given and paying for.  For instance, our teacher failed to teach the medical software, transcription, pharmacy, and coding, even though we reminded her. This accounts for about $10,000 of the $12,000 tuition.  Aside from academic issues the teachers apparently have personal issues that they sometimes feel is the students job to listen to and give her psychiatric advice.  I wouldn't mind giving such advice but let's first become medical administrative assistants and then work our way to psychiatrist.
